Supporting T.R.E.E.
IPS has partnered with T.R.E.E. (Training & Resources in Early Education), a non-profit organisation working in the field of early childhood development for children from impoverished communities in South Africa.
If we want South Africa to thrive & prosper; if we want democracy to be deep rooted and stable; if we want South Africans to flourish & succeed – we must ensure that we invest in providing South Africa’s youngest, most vulnerable children with opportunities and education so that they can develop to their full potential. At least one percentage of our after tax profit will go to T.R.E.E., as we believe, "If IPS and its clients want to invest in South Africa, we have to build South Africa through its young children!"
Studies have shown that humans gain up to 85% of our knowledge before the age of 7. These years are vital and this is why IPS has such a belief in making sure we develop the children of our country.
For every £500 we donate, T.R.E.E. can train one teacher. One teacher educates 30 children a year, and so for just £500 we can help educate 300 children over a 10 year period.
As the success of this Non-Governmental Organisation relies on donations & funding, a charity has been set up in the United Kingdom called "Friends of T.R.E.E.". We have been actively involved in charity events to raise money for T.R.E.E. through this set-up. In 2004 we managed to raise over £2,000. That is 4 teachers!
If you would like to find out more about T.R.E.E. and how you can help, please contact us or speak to them directly.
